Kathy's
Cabin is close to most everything you'd want to do while on vacation
in western NC. Tubing, Hiking, whitewater rafting,wildlife
viewing,
fishing, shopping, or just exploring the back roads. All of this
and more is nearby.

The Great Smoky
Mountain National Park is within a few minutes of the cabin. For
family water sports you have tubing on Deep Creek or whitewater
rafting on the Nantahala. The park offers many hiking trails to
waterfalls and scenic vistas.

Take
a quiet ride down the Nantahala River by yourself in a one person

take a ride down the Nantahala River
or spend the day watching others
tackle the river

wildlife such as elk and deer can easily be done early in the morning
or evening at Cades Cove or Cataloochee. Both these areas also have
many buildings from the early settlers to enjoy and explore. |

in Waynesville, or visit Harrah´s Cherokee Casino. |
Kathy and I are trying
to make your stay in our cabin a pleasurable and unique experience.
We'll be adding more to the cabin and grounds as we go to make your
stay in the Hideaway different from other cabins and hope you'll want
to come back time and again. The photos hanging in the cabin have all
been taken by us and the camping/hiking items you'll see there have
all been collected by us for everyones enjoyment while staying there.
